Tie Dye Shirt

Items Needed:
1.      White shirt, onesie, socks, etc.
a.       Any white clothing
b.      You can also pick a different colored garment and instead of using tie dye you can use bleach to make a pattern.
2.      Dye
a.       You can mix as many colors as you want, I chose to only do blue with a white t shirt
b.      I bought a fabric dye formula at $2.50
3.      Rubber bands
4.      Bucket
5.      1 gallon of hot water

Instructions:
1.      There are many different folding styles you can find online to make your desired pattern. I chose an “accordion technique”
2.      Choose a technique and start wrapping rubber bands around it
3.      Get you shirt wet
a.       I forgot to follow this step personally, but it is recommended!
4.      I then followed the instructions on the dye packet
a.       Use a bucket and fill it with 1 gallon of hot water
b.      Mix the dye in
c.       Insert your garment for 15 minutes
d.      Rinse garment in cold water and then wash in warm water
5.      Once your timer is up you rinse the water out and start undoing the rubber bands
6.      Insert in washer
7.      Dry however you want
8.      For more fun feel free to cut out your shirt/garment to make it more stylish!
Tips if I were to do this again:
1.      Use gloves to avoid dying your hands!
2.      Don’t forget to wet your shirt before dying it, this will help the dye absorb more in the shirt and it will turn out more evenly
3.      If you end up doing only one color (that’s what I did) then I recommend adding as many rubber bands as possible so more of the shirts color (white) shows
