This website guides you through activities that are appropriate for your kid’s age. The second link takes you directed to the website’s math games, which have very fun and interactive math games. The rest of the site has free reading books for kids, brain games, and animated books that kids can click on for educational content. Perfect website for a child to spend their digital hour on. A computer is required for this activity.

Germ Activity

You Need: Paper Scissors Tape Directions: 1. First, have your kids draw and cut out germs (I provided a sketch I made if you would like to use it as a template) 2. They can color the germs if they desire 3. Once they are done drawing their germs, have them go around the house and stick the germs to objects they frequently touch (toys, door handles, countertops, chairs, or on each other) The purpose of this activity is to show kids a physical trace of where germs can be. It also allows them to see why certain places/objects are more prone to germs than others

DIY Cardboard Tube Shakers

For grades k-3. You will need a paper towel roll (or other sort of cardboard roll) , rice/beans, duct tape, milk bottle caps, and markers. You duct tape will act as the seal ends of your shakers. Place your milk bottle cap on the sticky side of duct tape and cut lines like a sun in the tape to your cap. You can then place the cap on the end of the tube and wrap the tape around the top. On the open end, put a 1-2 tablespoons of your dry rice or beans inside. Then you can seal the other end with your other milk cap end. More detailed instructions are in the link.
