It is always fun to get outdoors especially with the weather
getting warmer and summer getting closer! With summer approaching and children
getting out of classes and an abnormal school routine this is a fun way to get
your child outside to get some fresh air. This activity is targeted towards
elementary students or younger to practice color recognition. The nature
treasure box and hunt is easy to do and is fun to decorate, plus it is
enjoyable to see what little minds can find in nature!
Materials needed:
Egg carton box
Makers/paint/ anything with color
Step 1: find an egg carton box.
Tip:
Feel free to decorate the box as you wish!
Step 2: pick the colors you want to use to color the egg
dips. The different colors will represent the colorful items you can find in
nature.
Tip: it is best to use colors you
know are in nature, but I picked some for wild flower/prairie life to find.
Step 3: color in the egg dips as shown in the picture.
Step 4: go find nature items (leaves, flowers, etc.) that
match the colors in the box!
