Target Age
Range: 8 and up! (another good one for the whole family)
Items
Needed: Paper & any sort of writing utensil (pens, crayons, colored
pencils, markers, etc.)
This chart
is a way for parents to get organized for the week. For those who are working
from home, and trying to find that new family-work balance, having a chart to
organize the plan for the week, along with everything needed is a great way to
keep track of what is going on. Each child could create their own chart with
what they want to do, the whole family can make one together, this is very much
open for your individual interpretation and needs!
Step 1: Do some research with your
family!
Find some activities,
recipes, etc. (some great options are on this blog, and I shared some ideas on
my example, pictured below). Talk with your family, and figure out what
activities they would be interested in doing. Everyone could pick one or two
things that they would like to do, and have them placed on the chart.
Step 2: Gather your supplies &
family!
Grab some
paper and your favorite writing utensils.
Create a
chart that has three columns, and seven rows, or enough rows for however many
days you want to do some activities. Every day does not have to have something
super exciting, if you need a free day, write that down, you deserve it.
In my
example, I had a section for the day, activity, and then supplies needed to
make it happen. Next, I filled in each day with something that each of my
family members has been wanting to do. There are five of us, so we each picked
one, and then decided on one together. These plans can be something as simple
as a fun dinner, a specific movie theme night, or a couple activities from this
blog.
Step 4: Finalize your time &
Repeat!
This is a
pretty simple task that can be done weekly to not only, keep track of the days
which are getting a little hazy these days, but also have something for
children to look forward to, and maybe even you J. Hang in there and tailor this to
your family!
Come back
weekly to see new posts on this blog, to fill up your chart!
