This activity is fun and
easy for kids to understand how wood can absorb water. This is important when
kids are learning how rain feeds the trees that they see every day and other
plants! 5 wooden toothpicks and water is all you need. Partially break them all
in the middle and have all the broken points touching each other in the center.
Add a few drops of water and wait. When you come back, the wood will have
expanded from absorbing water and you will see your start form!
