Part 1:
For this activity, first listen to the video recording of the book, “The Apple Pie Tree”.
Part 2:
For this activity, the kids can grow their own apple tree seedling. You will need an apple (or any other fruit with a seed), a Ziplock bag, a paper towel or napkin, and some tape. This activity can be fun for any age, but is mostly geared towards grades K-2nd.
The first step is to cut up the apple (or any other fruit) and collect a few seeds. Then you will put these seeds in the Ziplock bag. Next get a napkin and dampen it with some water and put this in the bad too.
Next, find a window that gets a lot of light and tape it to that window. Now you can wait and watch the beginning of your tree grow every day!
Once your seed begins to sprout, plant your seed first in a small pot and then move them as they grow!
