Safe Painting

Keep your baby occupied by doing a mess-free painting activity!

·       Ages 6 months- 2 years

·       Minimal items needed that you could find around your house

·       Easy clean up

List of items

·       Painting canvas or paper

·       Paint (preferably acrylic, yogurt with added food dye also works too)

·       Plastic zip lock bag or a clear bag

·       Tape

Instructions

1.     Gather your items and secure your child in a place where they have a sturdy painting space (putting them in their highchair is a great place for this)

2.     Place the canvas or paper down first

3.     Add globs of paint or yogurt to different areas of the canvas or paper

4.     Place a zip lock bag on top of the entire canvas or paper and tape this down

5.     Let your child have fun by using their fingers to “paint”

Cleanup will be mess-free as the zip lock bag adds a barrier to the paint getting anywhere else other than on the canvas! Enjoy!
