Family gatherings can be a stressful time for children, especially when they don’t know anyone’s names. One way to help your child learn their many aunts, uncles, and cousins’ names is to make a family tree and explain their relation to each of their family members. You can include names, photos, drawings, and other information about each person on the tree.
- Paper
- Pen, pencil, markers, etc.
Step 1: Start with your current family. Make a box for each child, in chronological order, at the bottom of the page
Step 2: Add parent boxes above the children boxes
Step 3: Keep adding parent boxes as you build your family tree
