DIY Sunlight Catcher

This is a simple, fun, creative little project to do with kids! This is over course nice to keep them occupied during COVID times but something fun to do with the whole family anytime. Sun light catchers are great décor for the house but also a fun attribute to a garden the spring and summer time. Sun light catchers are easy to make and most if not all the materials can be found in your home. This are unique because you can determine the size, shape, color, and even put little objects in them such as a small plant or sparkles. I love nature so the one I will be demonstrating will have a small plant inside!

Materials:
Cookie cutter (for shape variety)/lid of mason jar (simple look) for the mold of your catcher
Elmer’s clue
Food coloring (optional)
Sparkles (optional)
Small plant (optional)

Step 1: Get a lid or cookie cutter for a mold. Make sure you have parchment paper or something solid under the cookie cutter or lid, so the clue does no spill out of shape.

Step 2: Fill the mold with your Elmer’s glue.
Tip 1: This is where you can also add your desired design such as food coloring, sparkles, a small object, etc.
Tip 2: if you choose to put a small object, food coloring, etc., within the catcher, do step 2 but only fill mold half way with clue then put what you desire on top of the first layer of glue. Then one you have your desired look, fill the rest of the mold up with your glue

Step 3: Let the glue dry fully before removing from mold. Display in sunlight!
