This activity is for grades 2-12. Lemon volcanos are an easy
way to make volcanos and observe chemical reactions at home! You will need 2
lemons per volcano, baking soda, a stirring stick, dish soap, and some food
coloring.
With your
lemons, slice the bottom of one so it lays flat and carve a hole in the top.
Mush the lemon inside to bring in the juices to the middle. Add some food
coloring to add some style to your lava. Then, add a squeeze some dish soap in
your lemon. Once all of that is complete, you can add a spoonful of baking soda
to the inside of your lemon and watch as it starts to fizz and bubble up. Add
more lemon juice, soap, or baking soda if you’d like to keep the reaction
going!

experiment can be found on: https://babbledabbledo.com/science-activity-kids-lemon-volcano/
